English by birth, Yorkshireman by the grace of God, European Never.
I live in Middlesbrough in the North East of England. I worked in the emergency services for 32 years and now I'm sort of semi retired. My photography is split between motorsport and landscapes. I have season tickets for Croft racing circuit which is just a 30 minute drive from home. As for landscapes the North Yorkshire moors and the coast are both only a short drive from home. With the Legendary Joe Cornish only living a few miles from me i would say he has been the biggest influence on my landscape photography, i try to get into his gallery in Northallerton to top up my inspiration when i can, a cup of coffee and a slice of cake always helps. Over the years I've used Pentax, Ricoh, Nikon and Canon 35mm film cameras. My Canon system has had a upgrade with an EOS 7D mkll body and some L series lenses added recently. Unfortunately a back injury is severely disrupting my photography to the point where i can't carry my bag and I'm looking at buying a trolley so i can pull my gear along.
