Another 52 thread I haven't seen before, really like the 'Poem' shot and 'Street' certainly is quality! The speed shots are still good they just don't have the impact of your other photos.
Some nice work Alby:thumbs:
In one sense I think that I shouldn't like this because of the seemingly odd placement of the in-focus area....but actually I do like it.....a lot!
I agree with Sarah on this, I think that it could have possibly also worked better if the shot been less 'straight on' so the 'T' in 'The' was the largest letter and the main focus point.
Took a second look at your flickr images, there's a lot more good images than bad ones so you are already on the right track.
Some of the ones that 'don't work' for me, may just be my personal choice but I think a lot of it is about the lighting.

Hi Mark
Week 1 Curved - Amazing what a bit of B&W processing can do - I really like this version.
Week 2 Poems - Simply perfect!
Week 3 Chopped - Great action shot, love the splintered wood and the sense of force.
Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Curved - I like this shot with the sky in and with the sky out, although I don't think that the cloning of the brickwork (which seems a little out of line) on the sky out one is necessary though, I think if you just cropped it tighter it would work better.
Poem - I like this shot and agree...
Thanks for all the feedback this week.
I've learnt that I need to spend more time getting to grips with using off camera flash to get more consistent results, there was a couple of other shots where the peppers are in a better mid air position but they were either under or...
Hi Darren
Missed your poem one last week, we actually had a similar idea and used the same poem. I like the B&W treatment you applied to your take on it.
Also like the DOF in chopped.
I like the chopped shot, good use of frame space and the BW treatment gives the image a 'dark' feeling. This may look even better if it was cropped before the granite edge, I know you'd sacrifice a bit of the onion reflection but I think it would look more even against the straight lines of the...
