Thanks for
Thanks for having a look Elaine. I agree it's difficult to keep up with everyone. Most folks are so helpful and encouraging as well and you feel bad for not getting round them all.
This is my first 52 and really enjoying the interaction with so many talented people.
Thanks so much for having a look pjm1 (am I right in saying it's Paul?) I'll take your comments on board and have a shot this weekend. Often find the mid-afternoon sunlight at this time of year pretty blaring so I'll put some of these pointers to good use.
Thanks again (y)
Great start David. Plenty of action capturing the moment of impact. Great lighting.
As a fellow noob I'm hesitant to offer any advice or crit. But considering the comments above from blondie, there is a real opportunity to crop the hand and wrinkles out to leave just over 1/4 of the image (top...
The image speaks for itself. Great composition, lighting brilliant. No crit. Would love for you to confirm if this was an actual hatching or not? Or am I sounding stupid for asking...has it already been confirmed?
I love, love the way the chick is stretching almost gasping for air. If I'd say...
Hi Rob.
I'm with Harlequin on your Fragile image. This is among the best we've seen this week. One question...my eye is drawn to the diagonal line running down the glass away from the bubbles...what is this line?
Composition on Bliss is really nice with the fence line leading you around the...
Thanks posiview. I think you're right about the over exposure. I'll try and have a play with this...or should I get "cracking" at Fragile (pardon the pun).
Thanks pinkbikerbabe. You're right about his expression. If he was maybe playing or throwing at the time of the shot the Bliss might be more apparent. Wish I had the photoshop skills to make it so :D He's probably just fed up with me pointing a camera at him again.
Hi Mark. A brilliant image for Fragile. I stumbled upon this on Flickr yesterday (I think) and didn't realise what it was until now reading your thread.
I really like the drama in the shot, so not offering any crit at all...just wondering what this would look like as a perfectly square crop...
Great stuff Susie. Have to ask...have you ever looked at your first abstract on this post upside down. I turned it upside down and a real sci fi alien theme jumped out at me...appearing like 60s/70s Beatles-esque cartoon appearance...gives it a whole different life.
Not in any way am I saying...
I really like this Bliss image. Love that it's not a B&W conversion but suggests at first glance that it may be. It's so peaceful and makes you want to be there in the image. Really nice.
And quickfire straight after...
WEEK 1 - BLISS
One of many attempts of shooting the wee fella playing blissfully in the snow. Anyone who has tried to photograph their children will know the frustrations involved.
Pretty happy with this result. Please tell me where it might be lacking.
