Appears he's in Folkestone and you're in Worthing. Could you not meet up?

Have you received payment? If so, his problem isn't it, especially with an unsubstantiated claim that the camera's faulty. Alternatively, you could simply say, send it back and I'll refund provided it's in the same condition as when I sold it to you.

Love these sort of photos. Which lens is it?

    NAS

One thing I'd point out regarding NAS of whatever make is the hidden, or less obvious, benefits. I can access my files via my TVs using DLNA, so can sit and watch photos, videos and listen to music in any room in the house with a suitable TV, as well as from my phone's, tablets and laptop...

    Selling Canon Lenses and Upgrading

The grass isn't always greener. What doesn't your current kit do? Or is it simply change for change sake?

Travelling in London and tourist attractions. Help required.

Staying in Russell Square you're a stones throw from the British Museum, which can keep you occupied for a full day without effort. Within 20 mins or so walk you have Covent Garden and Theatre Land, shopping in Oxford and Regent Streets. As others have said, what are your interests?

    NAS

My vote, based on years of ownership, is for Synology, which I originally bought after rather a lot of research.

SD -> HDD in the field

OP. How would you power the hard drive? Presumably a power bank? I have a Belkin USB Anywhere device which is USB to USB. Plug card reader in one side and portable HDD in the other. It's battery (3xAAA) or mains (power unit provided). Very slow but it works. Also, I have a 'SmartDisk' digital...

    Macro Rail recommendations

I use the Manfrotto 454 'micro-positioning sliding plate', which works very well. Currently reduced to £119, but comes up quite frequently, used, for a lot less, on 'that' auction site. Not perfect, but not bad.

GMAIL - can't email domain, and they also eat messages the other way.

I was also suffering with odd Gmail behaviour. Difficult to define but one feature is consistently being asked to enter credentials for my linked BT email account, plus some outgoing emails wouldn't send - just sat queued in outbox. Just did to/from test between my Google and BT accounts, and...

    Pentax and other gear

Search for Pentax WR lenses. There's currently a 16-85 WR lens on that auction site for £263/best offers. Got one myself. Ideal walk about lens and it has a quiet DC motor. Note. I'm only bringing the lens to your attention, not recommending it per se. Caveat emptor.i have nothing to do with...

Interested to know what heads you use on monopods

Saw a video some time back from a pro tog who was using a Manfrotto 222 head - the joystick one - which he adjusted with his left hand whilst simultaneously operating his camera with his right hand. Worked very well for him. Can't remember the togs name but it was on YT. My recollection is that...

    Beginner Camera Reviews

Fwiw, I shoot Pentax (amongst other brands) and have never had an issue with their customer service, not least because in all the years I've been using their kit I've never had the need to contact them! For me, like Harry Potter's wand, I've found the camera chooses you. In other words, find...
