Hi Thanks for the replies. I'm not bothered about pocket ability but just want to grab my camera and go. I do have a Panny GX1 so I am undecided wether or not to go for a Pro zoom. Obviously £800 would be for top end stuff and for something really special.

Hi Want some ideas please on a compact. Focal range, not too bothered wide end but want at least 110mm long end Good optics Reasonable low light performance, although I can use a tripod if need be. Print size up to 10 x 8 inches Reasonable budget....up to around £800. Not too bothered...

Thanks for all that's posted so far. It's given me good guidance. Now to keep my eye on the classifieds for a 'top end' telephoto zoom. I know that's probably overkill for the size I'm printing at but there's nothing to say I'm going to stick just with this subject material. Thanks again JohnyT

@adrianday I don't mind paying more for a 'higher' end and faster lens just in case (when) I decide to upgrade the body. Can anyone recommend any other telephoto zooms for m4/3 ? Thanks John

@Nod Yes I had thought of going down this route. I had shot a few with my DSLR and lenses and don't manipulate the images (only resize to 6x4) and then get them printed out I've even shot some with my phone but getting the 'right' lens size is difficult. I suppose any point and shoot would...

Hi Have been going round in circles looking at reviews and don't know which ones to trust so....... I want a few ideas/recommendations on a compact camera please. Here's what spec. I want. Zoom up to about 110 minimum (more is better but not bothered about silly numbers or even ultra wide)...

....strangely........insuring a Golf R works out cheaper than my 2.0 Golf TDI....work that one out............ JohnyT
