Depends what you view it on. On a calibrated monitor, or print, you can see her face, but the skin tone is dark, so if the gamma or blacks are off, it disappears.

Good point Geoff, I think I uploaded too large a size It is indeed a jumper but the persons face is hard to see on a screen with incorrect gamma or black level. Tricky as a lighter skinned face distracts, whereas too dark can almost disappear.

As usual, my take on a staircase shot

Thank you all for the replies and input. Dave, the leaf was there and I agree it added to the shot so left it in. The style of my work is different to the norm and will no doubt polarise opinion so I can see why it's not for you, or plenty of others. It's photographic marmite ;-)

Aye I usually prefer black, or dark grey. Not sure if I can change the spacing tho. I'll have a play later, thanks guys
