This was my beautiful Dehesa who we rescued off a busy street. In this photo she is missing a LOT of fur do to malnutrition. She only weighed 40 pounds when we found her. She eventually got up to 70 pounds (not being fat). We guessed she was a Rottie mix and the best dog ever.

This is my handicapped cat, Chance. His back legs don't bend but he is able to do about 90% of what any other cat can do. He is strickly an indoor cat, we found him when he was only a few days old and took in his mom, and one brother. We had to give away 3 other kittens which I hated to do...
At the Wild Animal Park, they have some interesting looking birds.
African Crowned Crane
Not sure what this one is called, if anyone knows, I would appreciate knowing. It's not a peacock, but sure was interesting looking.
When I was at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (aka Wild Animal Park), I just happen to be around the pelican's when the keeper came by to feed them.
These guys LOVE their fish.

I took the camera and my 100-400mm lens to the zoo the other...
Big cats have a special place in my heart.
Here is one of my favorite photo's taken at the zoo. This cat was right up against the glass with a littermate. This was taken about a year ago and now they are all grown up.
