Hi, not posted on here for a while. Had PC probs and when eventually got a new PC, I had lost a lot of my links and passwords etc. Been busy "practising" with my camera though so have at least got photos that are hopefully worthy of posting :)

Hi, I am shortly going to be buying a Canon 500D (I think) and it looks as though I will have to do so online. Have heard so many horror stories re imitation goods (seen a few very realistic ones) and would be grateful if anyone could reccommend a reliable and reasonable on line outlet? Thanks.

Thanks for the comments folks, much appreciated. I actually "heard" him long before seeing him. He was quite content to sit and sing for me as he enjoyed a rare glimpse of sunshine.

Spotted this chap on our way to Loch Lomond.

Spotted this little guy singing his heart out on North Uist.

It is just seven weeks since we adopted Sam - another little Border Terrier - as a companion for Frisa. I think this photo shows how well they get on. This was taken in a nearby country park on their daily walk.

What about the Safari Trekking Harness? My husband (7D) and I both use this and find it's great. It also comes with straps for binoculars.

The lens I use most is a Canon 70 -300 IS USM, but if sitting in a hide will use a Sigma 500 lens (too heavy for me to hand hold). I feel I need something with a higher ISO at least.
