    "Panasonic G series" Owners Thread

GM5 with 12-32 is one of my favourite combinations. The zoom ring on the 12-32 recently came off but as per the advice I got from the net a bit of double sided tape solved the problem. I really don’t know why Panasonic have not brought out an updated model ( I only miss 4K video ).

    Household Recycling

We have landfill, garden waste, glass, plastic and paper bins/boxes. The problem we have is that on a regular basis the glass recycling results in lots of broken glass down the road, causing a hazard for children and car tyres. I have told the council but it keeps happening.

Nikon D700 official owners/users thread, anything related to the D700

I bought my D700 used with over 400k shutter actuations. I presume it had a new shutter at some stage but don’t know this for sure. It certainly looks worn and I have replaced the rubber on the body although I could have managed without doing this. It works perfectly and I do prefer the image...

    Wi-Fi

I’ve replaced my Airport setup with the Google wi-fi and performance has improved. The Google wi-fi is easy to setup and I’ve now installed 3 in another house which had always given me problems due to the solid walls, no more problems with fast connection speeds through the house.

    Cormorant's

Not all anglers hate them. I agree about the feather details and think you have exposed these just right.

    Readly - electronic magazine subscription

I discovered it recently and am now saving a fortune in subs. There is also Amateur Photographer which was always too expensive for me to consider a subscription.

BBC I Player. Now we need to register! !!

These days I don't even install the IPlayer app on new devices. I pay for 2 tv licences and wouldn't object to registering but the BBC don't show anything I'm interested in. I prefer to spend my viewing time watching Amazon/Netflix or YouTube.

    Adobe cc price increase incoming

If I used photoshop I would still think it good value but I have found I only use lightroom. I would be happier if they offered a lower price for only lightroom or allowed me to pay in $ so I can take the currency risk and also benefit if the exchange rate moves in my favour. I somehow doubt...

    Adobe cc price increase incoming

I think I will cancel my subscription and will probably buy the standalone version of lightroom and forget photoshop. It is a shame Apple discontinued Aperture in favour of the photos app as I would have just gone back to using that.

which sub £100 used CSC / Compact camera?

Since you started this thread, I have just bought a refurbished XE-1 ( my old S5 pro has been giving error messages on every first photo so I think it may be on the way out).I love the image quality and handling. The GFs still have a use to me due to their small size & I like the video from the...

which sub £100 used CSC / Compact camera?

The GF1 is a pleasure to use and you can add an EVF. The GF3/GF5 are still fun to use. When I first got my GF3 with 14mm I found it such a compact and versatile package that I used it a lot. I have other mirrorless cameras ( Sony & Fuji ) but the micro 4/3 have the advantage of smaller lenses...

Using old lenses is great fun. I've even ended up buying more old Pentax & nikon.

which sub £100 used CSC / Compact camera?

It is okay but I find it cumbersome on the GF5/3. I use the compact x version or the Olympus 14-42 ( as it collapses when not in use ) if I want a zoom but really like a prime on the GF. Usually I have a 14, 20 or the sigma 30mm on. But then the price of all this starts to take a toll on the wallet.

which sub £100 used CSC / Compact camera?

I would go for the GF5. It is such a handy size that I often put it in my bag or coat pocket when travelling light. You can get good quality small lenses to go with it. The GF3 is just as good if you want to save a bit of cash.

Olympus E-PM1 + Body Cap Lens for €99!

Looks like the sold out at that price again. Maybe worth keeping an eye on their site if you want one. The service was excellent - sent out on the day they promised.
