My caving images in the local paper

Make sure you have some people in the shot, as this will give the Chamber more scale.

Hope your guide knows the way, as we must had spent ages trying to get into the Great Chamber, it looked so easy on the survey, but so many dead ends through all those boulders. But we got there in the end.

To light up large chambers, I use a tripod and remote. Then I will just light up one area at a time with each exposure. Then once back at the computer, you can open up each image as a layer and blend them all together.

Fairy Cave Quarry is well worth getting into, if I remember right, I think group size is three plus leader. St Cuthberts is quite a strenuous trip but good fun. Here is a image from the Ladder Dig.

GB is another good cave for photography, especially up in the Ladder Dig.

We only get down to the Mendips about once a year, so this one is from May last year at sump 1.

Good article on your caving venture. So I presume you will be going through sump 1 on your roundtrip, there is a good photograph to be had on the other side.

This Burning Out Of Sensors Through Pointing A Camera At The Sun

Well my DSLR was pointing at the Sun for the whole hour with a 300mm f4 lens, taking random shots throughout the eclipse, and the camera is still performing as normal.

Here is a shot from GB, taken up in the Ladder Dig area. Image taken with a simple point and shoot camera and off camera flash.

We did Swildons and GB a few months back, but we went through Mud Sump towards the Shatter Series.

Is the road sign for Wooky Hole still there on the other side of sump 1 in Swildons. As it is years since I have been through the sump.

    Happy faces in Vietnam.

Very well captured, this reminds me of my time in Vietnam, I spent a month travelling from north to south a few years ago. Great country with friendlily people everywhere.

    A very wet Wales...

I was up on Mynydd Illtyd common probably at the same time you had your 30 seconds on sunshine. Llangorse was the other option, but we were there a few days ago. I prefer your last shot with the wall for composition.
