Yeah I won't lie, I had pics I ditched because they were blurry due to wind. I think I looked back through pics between displays and saw they didn't look sharp so I ended up shooting most stuff whilst in a sat down position so I could rest my elbows on my legs etc.
It's not really comfortable...

I saved my faves till last! The F-16 was pretty much the reason I went to Eastbourne this year since I'd seen everything else a few times before.
The weather was doing its best to put me off since it was windy as hell and then it rained 20-30 minutes before the F-16 was due on. Luckily, I could...
Still sorting these out! It's hard to take shots of the Red Arrows that actually look different :|
At least there's a different background!

This is a fairly typical one I guess

This one is cool since...
Yeah, kinda what I was going for but I have to admit, I'm tempted to re-frame it a little but I'd need to jiggle stuff in photoshop and I haven't even finished processing the rest of my shots lol
Yeah, it's tough to frame the first one. On the one hand, it's nice to have something more than just sky in the background of planes so water is nice and landmarks are nice sometimes but I couldn't see a much better way to set that one up hehe
I found someone did a 360 panorama shot of pretty...
Thanks :) that's pretty much what I was aiming for. I normally try to go for a bit more prop blur but I was hand-holding and it was so windy I didn't really have a chance hehe
Here's the few shots I decided to keep of the B-17
Think there's another shot of it disappearing behind Beachy Head that I've gotta export yet!

I was at Beachy Head, it's not just a famous suicide spot lol.
You don't get many photos there since the displays themselves are out of range for decent pics but a lot of the planes will enter or exit the display area via the cliffs so you get to take a few shots then.
I arranged to shoot from the roof of the 'View' hotel last year and that definitely has the best view of the show in Eastbourne. Shame about the weather yesterday! I often struggled to keep the camera steady and then it rained for about 20 minutes the rain moved on to Eastbourne at the same time...
My written French isn't great since I was 9 when we left but the speaking/listening etc is still ok but rusty! It's still fine for me to watch some Habs hockey though when I can find it :D
I was a Francophone but I've been in the UK so long and was quite young when I moved so my written French is pretty bad lol.
I lived east of Quebec City in St-Raphael (Bellechasse) when I was a kid :)
Yeah, I already tweaked them but kept the processing light. When I process I try to keep some of the 'feel' of what it was like out there at that time. Yours feels a little contrasty for me but then again my monitor isn't exactly calibrated so it might just be me hehe :)
By coincidence, I am...
Yeah the extender is built-in so stays pretty sharp and gives a bit more magnification. I was also using a 25mm extension tube for a little more magnification. Minimum focus is normally 2m but I can get a little closer with the tube on so a little more magnification. Great lens for Dragonflies...
