Hi All,
Is there a way to ask Lightroom to preserve my in-camera exif settings for the develop settings when importing a RAW file? If i shoot something 'B&W' (I appreciate that the camera is only previewing the shot in B&W but storing the file as RAW data), i would like the initial preview to...
Thanks! Thinking about it, i would not have felt confident or comfortable standing on a platform in Harlem taking a photo with the D300 and some big long lens. With the GF1, i felt soooo much more comfortable and so got some shots i simply would not have if i had to lump the D300 around...
Thanks for the write up. I feel exactly the same about mine and am now taking more photos than i have done in years. Is it as good as my D300 (soon to be sold)? Probably not. But it is with me most of the time now and surely that's what counts.
Now all i want is a fast short portrait lens:)...
Thanks for a great write up. I've had my GF1 for 2 weeks now, and have been enjoying it like no other camera i have owned in the past 20 years. It is truly a tool that neither flatters nor detracts from the picture taking experience but merely enables you to have a photographic tool with you in...
I use the EVF around 50% of the time. Somehow years using an SLR means that i'm just more comfortable with my eye up to the camera. There is lots of talk about the resolution of the EVF not being up to scratch but i find it just fine for framing and composition.
Cheers,
Peter.
Hi All,
I had a recent weekend in New York. In between rain, i managed to shoot a few photos. This was our 3rd trip so we mostly stayed out of midtown and spent our time in Brooklyn and Harlem. The photos were shot RAW on my lovely new Panasonic GF1/20mm f1.7 and post processed to be suitably...
I'm using mine with the EVF. I guess you could criticise the resolution but for composing a shot whilst holding the camera in a DSLR kind of way it is fine. You get used to toggling between the screen and the EVF by using a button on the EVF. The fact that the EVF tilts is a great feature as...
Thanks Julie. These are my exact reasons for getting the GF1 to complement my GRD2. Todays compacts have fantastic IQ in most situations but their tiny focal length lenses just don't let you control DOF. They may be sharp but creativity using focus is destroyed.
Cheers,
Peter.
