Personally I wouldn't convert images of car's into HDR's... I don't think it works at all. Very rarely it works on landscapes, but vehicles is a big no no. Thats just my personal opinion.

Basically i just set the camera up down a track in Woodingdean which is in East Brighton. F3.2, ISO 80 and exposure set at between 20 and 25 seconds. Set the self timer for 2 seconds, pressed the button and walked away in case the camera itself triggered a strike!
This image is straight from the camera. Only thing that i've done with it is crop it and gave it a border...
Was very lucky to be so close to this lightning strike as the storm raged over Brighton for over 3 hours before moving on East over to Newhaven/Eastbourne way.

Settings wise I was extremely annoyed with myself as I forgot to lower the ISO down. So some of the images I took were useless. From memory I believe it was F3.2 and exposure wise I think I had it set at 10-15 seconds.
