When I had a Canon setup, I went with Yongnuo flashes. Brilliant and reliable for the cheap price for similar power/features as the Canon/Nikon equivalent. You could get 2 x YN685 flashes and a YN560 for the price of one SB-700.

Do you have to go into menu for aperture/ISO settings? That's the only thing that might put me off Oly cameras. Definitely need to go in to a store and have a try though. I know I want a good OVF/EVF. I have the X70 thinking it would be a nice portable option, but I don't like using it.

What's the usability of video on the original X100 compared to the X100S? Nothing professional or fast paced, just occasional out and about with family/friends stuff.

I'm also still on 4.4 and looking to move onto to either 6/CC. The thing I find in 4.4, is that it's a lot slower in everything compared to when I used 3, even though I've rendered 1:1 previews, same PC. Have others experienced that? Is there much difference in speed of workflow going from 4.4 to 6?

Yeah I've subscribed to them to notify me when a refurb becomes available so I think I'll wait until that comes up. Otherwise I'll just keep an eye out on eBay. Looking on eBay atm, there's a silver one going for £390 on BIN. I really like the silver X100T but for X70 I think I prefer the black.

I can't comment through experience, but a quick search on Amazon brings up XCSOURCE ones which from the reviews look up to the job.

Nah I was just thinking if you accidentally set it as slave instead of being triggered by the SU800, then it wouldn't have fired given that the SB900s didn't fire. So the SB800 doesn't fire if you attach it to the camera's hotshoe?
