Hadn’t actually looked for prices on the 16-35mm F4 IS Lens but can’t find any for sale apart from one on Amazon which is more expensive than the 16-35mm F2.8 version? I just dont know if 16mm is going to be wide enough but then the Samyang at around £250 is tempting enough to give it a try...

Sounds to me like you would be better with the 70D then mate, coming from someone who also owns a 5D3 and a 70D.

I have wanted to spot a Kingfisher for YEARS and this weekend I finally managed to find one! I am very pleased with the end results given the conditions, would have been nicer to shoot on a lower ISO but beggars can’t be choosers as they say :)

One example could be: the 3rd party, cheap grip blows your £3k camera up, try getting an image with it then, regardless of what lens/UV filter or memory card you have for it. You have to understand these chinese copy grips go through next to no QC and the manufacturers could not care one tiny...

just get the Canon, you will always be wishing you had bought it if you don’t. This was my logic for buying the 5D3 over the 5D2. Also I guess I would be classed as a Canon purist as all my kit is genuine Canon, there is a reason cheaper is cheaper.
