    Capturing the suns rays?

    Thanks for the replies, I don't pretend for a second to know what i should be doing. I found it very hard to balance the dark foreground with the bright sun. There has been no post editing of the images.

    Got my first DSLR about a week ago (Sony a200) and am really enjoying the challenge so far. Essentially I've been going out and shooting what I think is interesting, and just playing with settings to try and figure out what does what. How would I have better captured this shot? Very overcast...
