same sensor but the d3 feels so much better, theres one in the classifieds ;)

just the feel, the ergonomics, i preferred the built quality of the d700, and couldnt get on with the auto focus

pros for the 105 is you can use it for macro if your into that?

dont do it, i traded in my d700 for a canon 5dmkii and it was the worst decision ive made, id stick with nikon as its what you know. i sold the 5d after 2days and now own a d3 and so glad i moved back

we've got a 46" samsung LED 3D tv that is awesome, the picture quality is out of this world but it did set us back just over £2000 without glasses. go down to your local currys shop and have a play around, just remember most dont include the glasses sam

i sold my d700 last week to swap over to a canon 5dmkii and its the worst decision ive ever made, the files the 5d produces are awesome but then so are the d700, i could get on with the AF system, the controls and i ended up selling it after 2days and now on the look out for a d3 instead

the main thing with the 28-300 would be the DOF, you wouldnt be able to blur the background like you could with the 2.8 and fast primes
