So gutted...
I bought it dropped as a project bike (Suzuki TL1000R), I hate to think how much time and effort I've put into it :(
Parked up outside my girlfriends house in Long Lawford, near Rugby in the small hours last night (between 7pm 16th and 5am 17th)
Reg no S871 MFP...
A sorry, just re-read your post... doh!!
Either way a partial refund that doesn't cover the damage is going to be so arbitrary in its amount. Can't leave neutrals any more? When will eBay stop faffing with the system?!
Agree, unless the partial refund will fix the camera - which I doubt and threatening negative feedback as a bargaining tool is completely out of order IMO.
I think the main thing to remember (as has been touched on above) is DOF is determined by aperture AND focal length AND distance to the focal point. Yes at the 55mm end f8 may have been more suitable (still not sure I'd stop down that far, as I'd be further away then to get everyone in frame...
ISO will not effect the exposure in Auto (or even Av or Tv for that matter)
Have you checked to see if you have any exposure compensation in effect?
I recommend you get to know this camera and it's settings before even contemplating upgrading. 400D's are a great starter camera.
Oh no! Not 800g :)
Don't forget this is comparing the f4IS vs the f2.8 non IS, so doubt the weight difference will be that much.
Either way, I cope fine with a 1d and the 2.8 IS non-stop for 14hrs+ sometimes without issue.
You lucky sod!
I spent all summer trying to convince my local regular spot to move the comps outside and the warmup inside. After lots of umming and arring it's now nearly winter again :(
2.8 all the way. TC's will work better with it too if you have decent light but NEED extra reach.
And for equine when you're in arena, the 1.3 crop of the 1d I find spot on on a 70-200.
edit: I would think you would struggle with a 100-400 on a full crop in arena. Great for cross country though.
