I was in NYC just 11 months ago an a tripod would not go sown well in Grand Central......... There are several ledges by the stairs at each end of the concourse which can be used to steady the camera body.

It's a heavy but selective vignette technic which I use to some extent in most of my images.......

I have been running Bootcamp on my iMac 27 without any issues. Having said that - I don't use it every week! I guess the downside is that you need to re-boot each time you want to get into Windows......

I would seriously consider buying a Mac over a PC. If budget is a concern then consider a second hand Mac over a brand new PC.....
