    Money thoughts …

The more you leave in the pot the more monthly return you’ll get. Take out the maximum and you’ll get less each month. It is a gamble and you’ll need to look at the terms, conditions and forecast when approaching your retirement. They will let you know a forecast of either taking min or max...

    Money thoughts …

I tried moving banks once. Caused so many issues that I learnt that if you are content where you are it may not be worth a few quid. Ended up back where we started.

You may find that you’ll be hit for tax so don’t spend it until you are sure.

I have a question for you. How come the French can afford to buy into our Power Generation network (part of our Critical National Infrastructure) but neither we or our Government can afford to? I guess we should be grateful that someone thinks we are worth investing in? EDF Energy Wikipedia...

I’m not far behind you with this. I was surprised how well we got on in Japan. Folk are aware of people despite being glued to their phones. Businesses seem to be content with reasonable profit and not price gouging like here. We saw only considerate drivers and no road rage and even much...

    Beginner Beginners advice

We came back from Tokyo a couple of weeks ago and was worried about the lack of a decently long zoom lens. I am sure I probably would have used it had I had one but certainly didn't really miss it. The advice above with small, light with good low light capability is key.

Street Photography Series Explores the Urge to Take Photos of Strangers

I’m guessing that not having a pointless argument for a photo that has little relevance is just not worth it. Some battles are worth winning.

Likely you’ll never see them again - most crime comes down to opportunity and if you don’t leave stuff on show opportunities are reduced. We have a ‘fast’ bit of road by us that used to be a 60mph zone. In the councils wisdom it is now at 40 but no one, other than me, seems to go slower now...

Facebook market place is fine if you have low expectations. Along a similar line we put a light up for free and had dozens of folk asking if it was still available / how much was it / could we deliver it. Took it to the tip in the end as no one ended up collecting.
