weekly overbez's 52 in 2014... Week 52 - SUPPORT added... *** FINISHED ***

Divert rope perhaps the separate more?
.

Shame Google can't translate posiviewish.. Guess you're after a different color tightrope? ;)

Hi Graham both shots work well but I am going for the first one, had a similar idea myself but scrapped it as I couldn't get it right, you have done a brilliant job on it

Cheers, looking back at #1, I should have maybe got in one or two closer shots of the body parts to add a bit of variety.... Hindsight eh?

Really nice, und unusaul take on the them, well done

Thanks Colin. surprised that in my 65 weeks in here danbo hasn't appeared somewhere... Hes sat up on a shelf and will appear again before the year is out :)

Both really good idea's like them both well done

Cheers Craig

#1 is a super idea but I do like #2. Good thinking and execution. A bright background compliments the main subject nicely.

Thanks Peter, really need these grey skies to begone. I especially do for this weeks shot too!

Yay a Danbo photo! I much prefer that shot, well thought out and pretty damn good considering you made him!

Cheers Simon, a good couple of hours of cutting and sticking, poor little guy's right arm doesn't move too much but the head, legs and left arm all articulate as they should.

Camera on tripod on a chair, flash resting on garage door handle, live-view with screen rotated so I could see it, remote release in one hand, end of cotton sellotaped to back of his head in the other... simples. :D

Hi Graham, absolutely brilliant, great composition and colour no idea if thats real rain but it works superbly :notworthy:
best of the week

no idea if thats real rain but it works superbly

Cheers allan, of course it's real rain...... collected it in the water butt yesterday. :)

best of the week

:jawdrop:... With the quality of the other submissions... high praise indeed. Thanks.

Just been looking through your Flickr stream and i have missed so many of your shots!! :(

This one is fab, love the rain!

Cheers David... now do try to keep up!

Or is it a watering can? ;)

shush you! ;)

Yep, great shot Graham (y) liking the detail in the 'rain' hitting the flower

Cheers Everyone... had good fun doing this one. Single handed as well, camera, flash, remote release and watering can all co-ordinated.. (somehow).. :)

Great shot G. well framed and nice crisp image... the rain really adds to the drama of the photo...

Yep, cheers Colin, the one before it *ahem* started to rain definately lack the drama. Link to an earlier one >>>>> here <<<<< for interest, pretty much everything else the same.

well thought out.

Thanks Simon... The composition and bokeh highlights from the dew on the grass turned out pretty much as the picture in my mind. Then just a few shots with the rain and picked the best.

Any a little wider?.

Cheers Andy.

Nope. This was the comp I was aiming for. Did shoot a tad wider, but have rotated slightly to diagonal the rain a but more, and then a but of a crop.. But not much.

A lovely nature and my favourite so far!!:) You've caught the 'rain' with just the right amount of movement and I love that you've got bokeh as well! Well done!:)

Wow, thanks Sarah. :D

I think the rain has been caught by the flash (below camera to the right) rather than the sunlight (from behind the flowers, creating the bokeh from the water on the grass), as the streak shows even in front of the flower which would be shaded from the sun.

As said, quite a complicated shot, but lots of fun. :)

HI Graham

Lovely vibrant tulips , like the way you've caught the "rain"......can't add any more to what's been said by others (y)

@parhole4 , @cowboy , @blondie606 . Thanks very much to you all. :)

Super shot. Without the "rain" it would have just been a shot of some tulips. Instead you've brought the image to life. Loving it.

"a shot of some tulips" with a nice dewdrop bokeh background if you don't mind. :)

Cheers for all the comments this week.... Looks like I've set myself a tough act to follow for this weeks "action" shot.

Really like the 2nd one Graham, great idea (y)

Thank you chaps.. Nice to not have to do a great deal of editing again. :)

The second worked out really rather well as there was no overlap on any of the frames... So just mask out with a soft brush and done. After a bit of alignment of the layers as it was taken handheld.

Simply superb. Love them both!!
Thanks David. (y)
Hi Graham,
Action... certainly got action there!! great love them both clever editing(y)(y)
Thankyou judi. Would you believe this is the first "multiplicity" edit i think ive done. :)
Nicely captured and I like his expression. BG works well and adds to the narrative.

#2, like it, he has great style (y)

Cheers.
cheers Andy.

Expression... The tongue out the corner of the mouth really helps. :)

Style... Obvious where he gets that from :D

Hi Graham,
Nature, love the vibrancy of the colours in this, such a fresh image good work.

Action, two great submissions, #2 just shades it over the first for me but it's so close.
I do like images where there is a personal touch to it what with having your lad as a model. Good work all round (y)

Could we see your scootering style? Mainly for comparisons sake ;)

:D . Ooh you little tinker... :). I taught him everything he knows... And we all know you don't have to be able to DO, in order to teach. :)

The nicest thing about this day was being able to get shutter speed up around the 1/1000th without going to ISO 3200 or 6400.

Cheers Iain.

Hi Graham two nice entries not really sure which I prefer, great expression in the first pic, I still stick my tongue out when I am concentrating even at my age.
The second one is a great idea, I bet he is made up with pic

Two great submissions Graham. Number one just nudges it for me, love the composition and the timing. Nice even light too. could see this as an advert pick, promoting the scooter or helmet. good work. (y)
