Sorry no can do the diet started yesterday.... but i am sure someone would on here... ;)

Are Fray Bentos pies food though? They appear to be on the human food aisles in supermarkets but so are Ginster's "pasties". When I smelled a sachet of the cat's food I was instantly returned to the time I was fed an FB pie and have no wish to repeat the experience!

Until I get my teef back, I can't really eat sarnies but have been managing by cutting them up into bite sized pieces. I can chew fine but I would look pretty stupid trying to eat corn on the cob!!!

 Yes !!!

The thought of all that together is making me feel :puke:

I must confess to being a less is more guy when it comes to my sandwich' no need for a million and one ingredients....seriously fancy a nice smoked salmon on wholemeal right about now, with just a squeeze of fresh lemon...:p sorry seriously getting a drool on just thinking of that

The completed sandwich sounds delicious and I'm rather tempted :p But I'm not so keen on spreading goose fat on a sandwich which would be eaten cold...

A couple of suggestions for more britishness:
A - Aberdeen Angus (mentioned before)
M - marmite

A few questions on making the sandwich:
Whats umami paste?
What's tripe?
Where can we buy Xmas pudding this time of the year?

Will review the costs in the morning and think about it...

:D

Tripe is I think intestines or stomach? It's the disgusting stuff my nan used to boil up in a saucepan when we were kids anyway
And I'm fairly sure I have a leftover XMas pud still in the cupboard that I could donate to the cause.

Umami paste's a mystery to me, although I suppose you could always replace it with unicorn.

You're running out of excuses now :p
Can I just suggest that you leave the indigestion tablets out of the sandwich and keep them for afterwards?

Umami is now recognised as one of the basic tastes like sweet...bitter...etc. umami paste is generally used simply to enhance the taste of savoury food...usually meat or fish.

And yes, tripe is the lining stripped from a cow's stomach. Foul disgusting stuff that my grandma used to fry with onions. Even the thought of the smell makes me gag.

or trifle, seeing as we have custard in there already :p

and maybe U for Udon?

This is going to cost like £30-40! see if my funds allow for such an extravagant sandwich that would feed me for the weekend...

Hell if your going to make it and post photos of the sandwich I'll happily donate a fiver to the cause :D

TRIFLE... yes... i shall keep repeating that and get that nasty tripe word out of my head:D

Yeah, you probably oughta buchya ain't gonna!

All of you that keep mentioning that disgusting stuff should be :bat::bat::bat::bat:
