weekly Posiview's TP52 for 2014 Week 52 Support added and FINISHED :)

Hi Andy - I find the effort you put in to your projects amazing its really good to see you enjoy it so much

Natural - The lighting is good and the environment works well well done

Cheers, Craig, my wife was saying today how obsessed I am with my photography.

I took it as a compliment :)

What a donkey!

Just got back from taking my photograph and realised I'd forgot to take one of the component parts :banghead:

Busy day tomorrow but I ain't going to miss my first submission after 168 weeks of my TP52 :arghh:

Cheers.....

Hi Andy,
Nature/natural :ROFLMAO: nothing short of brilliant.
Big thumbs up to you. You called this and saw it through. Lighting, composition and execution all top drawer.

Action, poetic licence? Is that what we are calling use of the crowbar these days? :D;)
Joking aside, I like your thinking behind this. Time constraints upon you, I think you've done well with this.
Quite harsh light you appear to have been shooting in and I feel a tidier background would have been in order. The red car in the background spoils the effect somewhat.

Post and be damned matey, enjoy your your holiday. Photographs or it didn't happen :D

I like the idea Andy. I think the composition works well with having the red car behind (y) I'm guessing this is done with layers so that's another technique I couldn't do

If anything a different setting/bg may work better :)

Have a good weekend (y)

simple idea.... should work really well when you get time to do it properly! What about bucket and sponge... washing the car away!

Cheer, Iain. I did enjoy Natural.

Action, yeah, one for a reshoot (y)

Cheers, yeah, it has potential and I'll be looking out for a reshoot.

Hi, all, two from me. Not as good as I'd have liked because I was with Jackie so couldn't spend the time I'd have liked on each photograph. Anyways....

#1, one is mine and then I saw the bird print and I thought they'd make a nice diptych.

#2, first one was me flat on my back in the woods just staring at the sky through the trees and the second one is of some rocks on the beach. I though the worked well together.

Cheers all.

Really like the second set with the trees and the rocks - they complement each other perfectly!

Yep the trees and the rocks work incredibly well together. Love how you've managed to get one to nearly match the lines in the other.

Good spot on the bird footprint and pairing it with yours... I know what it feels like not to have as long as you'd like when the family is in tow!

Hi Andy the second mono shot of the trees and the rock works really well, they just go together

Hi Andy
Action - terrific idea but one for a reshoot
Mono - #1 is OK for idea and theme. But the angle of the shots and exposure seem too different and the b/g are too diff in my view.
#2 - similar idea but much better outcome in terms of comp, exposure and tone(y)

Thank, all.

I owuld have liked to have consistant tones but the light changed so fast.

Cheers.

Hi Andy....just catching up...
Nature...well that was very daring, but a great pic, I really like the lighting and the angle ...it looks good.
Action....a unique idea....as others have said maybe a bit rushed but one to follow up on I'm sure.
Mono...the shot of the trees just draws my eye...I would love that one as a stand alone image.

Really liking the composition(s) of the second mono although I think I prefer the trees as they just draw you in.

Hi andy,
action... doesn't do anything for me(n)
Mono... #2 is great love the trees especially(y)(y)

Cheers, Action doesn't do much for me either...'twill be a reshoot :)

Appreciate the FB. See below for a quick edit of mono #2.

I did consider the tree alone but I've done to before so thought I'd do a diptych.

Cheers.

Just to echo what's been said Andy, 2nd image works better for me (y)

Mono - love the footprints best. Never heard of a diptych before so thanks for posting that, given me something new to try.

Hi Andy

Action......yup , quirky idea that almost works...my 1st though was that you were aiming for Isabelle to look like she was scraping away the silver paint to reveal the red underneath.......guess I got that wrong ! But I still like the idea :) & it's not your worst submission ever.......remember the bunny all those years ago :exit:

Mono

the 2 footprints are great ,texture in the sand , definition in the prints & good conversions

The tree's one I like on it's own ....the rock one seems to have a lost a bit of something in the conversion as I can't really tell that it's rock...does that make sense ?

Twisted....I dread to think what you'll come up with :D

Cheers. Bunnies form Week 1, all them years ago :)

Twisted, I have mean idea I might try and photograph today.

Nice simple interpretation here Andy, think I like the colour one better, but I also like the B&W version.., DOF although very shallow, is just enough, and if anything the OOF sides re-inforce the sharp detail in the tops. Close square crop also delivers maximum impact too.

Cheers. Best viewed in Flickr...can't get them any bigger

Come on Andy.... click the little down arrow brings up all the other sizes..... >> Helpy linky pic << (make sure you're signed in also helps).

Thanks for the feedback.

Re the size went to the size option and this was the largest available

Cheers.

Hi Andy, simple but very effective, exposure and lighting good and DoF just enough, did think when I first saw it more DoF would be nice but have changed my mind
another good pic (y)

Hi Andy,
twisted... tried to make one of those a few years back not a success :( it fits the theme well I like the dof it works well (y)

Hi Andy.....a good choice for the theme, simple and effective against the black, I like the square crop. I normally choose mono but in this case I think the colour one has the edge.

Twisted - cracking idea liking the second image.

Thanks, all.

I've decided Simplicity is the way forward :)
