Octabox

Anyone tried the Bessel range of softboxes.

Wonder how they compare to Lencarta and other brands?

Much cheaper than the lencarta range but not as slick.

Lencarta is as good as you get for the money.

I sometimes find (and others have mentioned) that lencarta soft boxes can oftentimes give a magenta colour cast. I dunno if this is still an issue but might be worth bearing in mind if mixing lighting modifiers from different company's.

I currently mainly use a 140 (I think) octa on its own for all studio work and have no issues.

It's a collapsible model which is handy to get it through the studio door.

We also use the smaller version which is equally good.

I have a 2m Bessel strip soft box which is alright for the money but not as nice to use. Not as nice as the (smaller) lencarta collapsible version but then it was half the price.

I have the Bessel Octabox, been very pleased with it.
