2014 Photo52 Challenge : Week 52 : Support

Can you not borrow one, it would be a shame to miss out. Do you know how long your own will be away?
 
Thats a bugger Michael... hope you get it sorted mate, if not where you have it in for repair they would give you a loaner ??

Aahhhh very true Carol, but as with everything... well most things, I feel the more effort you put in the more you get out of it :)

Possibly, depends what stock they have available, I don;t know what to do with it right now, something needs to make my mind up for me!

Well, for the 1st time in a long while I'm actually up to date with comments ( I think ! ) & waiting eagerly for the new theme...though I may change my mind when I see it :rolleyes: Anything vaguely bike/dust/sunshine related would be spot on...shooting moto x again this weekend so got the crowbar ready :D

@alsjazzera , hope you're okay & getting through this difficult time

@michael23......know your frustration......I've still got 2 len's away for repair & only just got the D7000 back from Nikon in working order !

So...what will this week bring I wonder.....

Half! what am I going to do for this theme is the great big question and I'm sure I'm not the only one! Lol
 
Chuffing 'ell, just managed to look at this week's theme.

Half, "Isabelle, pass me the saw and lie on the table!" :)

It's rather hot here in Florida and there have been some cracking sunsets and loads of opportunities for photographs but I'm with family so no real chance for any time away with the camera.

jeez ive got far behind the weeks have seem to have just flown by. I hope to get caught up ASAP now so dont count me out yet lol. Been a bad few weeks with family dramas and work on top along with no enthusiasm or focus which hasn't helped.
 
OK, so I won't be doing what I was going to be doing as that is actually classed as treason. It was going to be "half a sixpence, is better than half a penny, is better than half a farthing, is better than none". But I don't want to go to prison...

So, time to think of something else.

Sorry to everyone for being absent for a while... bloomin' work, eh?! I have now - I think - caught up on (brief) comments for everyone's threads and now just need to catch up with Skill (that's tomorrow because of something I'm doing/going to) and Half. I have an idea for the latter...

I have a plan for all mine that I am beyond, and hope I can get off early enough tomorrow to take them, if not... to get back on an even keel, Plan B, snap, post and be damned :)
 
Right, camera is beig sent off tomorrow, luckily I can borrow my dads for the holiday, plus an argos bargain has landed this in the household!

off topic slightly for this thread but what are your views on the POTY? I have been reading the threads and the submissions and there are superb pictures in there but also quite a few dis-grunted members - I'm considering jumping in for the last 4 months and if I find it helpful then take part fully next year but still a bit unsure :runaway::runaway:

There's a few 52 ers doing it too, it's only one a month with the benefit of being judged anonymously and an opportunity for some "call it as they see it" comments from the judges.

I think as long as you set yourself a realistic target and can take more positives than negatives from the experience then go for it.

I got a second one month and was jumping round the room. :D

The discussion thread can be good entertainment too.:LOL:

Architecture ...mmmmm I need to think on that one, BUT I haven't done 'Half' yet ....now we shall see if my theory ifidontpostontimeeveryweektheworldwillend is actually true :)

I always look in on the POTY thread.....its interesting to see the judges choices. I think its good to set yourself a challenge......I'll look out for you on there Craig.
 
Hi all, well it's 17:52 here in Florida and only 92 degrees:) sat by the pool watching Isabelle swim before we go out for a curry!

Looks like my only lens in knackered so I had to take my Architecture with my fuji. Gonna need to process when I get home, though.

Looks to get a comment in now (y)

Well guys... my p'an didn't work again, so i'm going out with my camera and npt coming back tilli have my four shots..... okay they might all have a similar theme/location but i'm GONNA get my shots

Hi all, currently stranded in Florida. Should have flown yesterday but flight delayed overnight...just been down to check out of the $299.00 a night hotel :) and the flight is delayed again.

It's a little frustrating but great fun listening to others kick off :)

At least it isn't raining!

Ha we had the same out there they booked the entire plane into the Adams Mark hotel for two days all inclusive loved every minute off it including listening to every one complain
 
So, I actually started setting up my Week 30 "Half" photo last night, but it was late so I went to bed without getting it right. Hopefully I'll be able to do it tonight in a different location (better light and general setting) then I can move on to Week 31! (I have a couple of ideas of things nearby).

Sorry I haven't commented on anyone's recently, but I have certainly seen them and think there are some fantastic shots coming in.
 
Back in the UK and it's coollldddd:)

Had a quick catch up on Architecture posts and will be back to commenting normally from now on (y)

I have a grab shot for Architecture and as I've said I don't expect comments.
