Black bird up close

this looks a little over saturated to me, also it looks like the focus is ever so slightly off, to me it looks like the focus is a few inches too close to the camera, when really the focus on this needs to be on the eye...

Have you tried to remove a couple of distractions in the background? As it looked like a couple of spots has been blurred?
