Hi, I'm going back for my annual hols to Weymouth in September and saw this bay never visited before. I know it's near Lulworth and mupe bay but unsure if I can park nearer due to the main carpark at Lulworth being locked early than I would need to get the right light. Is the bay on the firing range and shut during the week?

Yep, the bay is within the firing range so you will either need to be there at the weekend or check on the Dorset for You website for open times. The car park you need for Worbarrow is the Tyneham one, and it's a short walk down to the beach. The car park is shut at dusk, but you can park up at Creech viewpoint if not and walk down.

As a side note, when driving down to Lulworth turn right for the caravan park and leave your car on the edge of the road. You can then park for free, whenever you like and walk down (y)

Thanks for the info Claire, is the view point at creech a long walk down? Thanks jake, always a bit concerned when parking on the side of the road and have heard reports that the campsite doesn't like it. But thanks for the headsup it's always a possibility.

It's outside the campsite's perimeter, so screw them :p

Tyneham is well worth a visit at the same time, fascinating place
