Decided to sell my Fuji kit and buy another Nikon to make things easier when it comes to my purchase of new lenses. After much deliberation I settled on the Df as something that I thought would dovetail nicely with the D800.

First dawn with it up at Sunbiggin Tarn. Hills in the background are the Howgills. Conditions were great but I couldn't quite get all the elements in the right order or position.

First long exposure with it down on Ullswater - more of a generic shot but conditions were quite nice. Small amount of random white speckling which means long exposure NR will need to be turned on.

Cheers Alan - Pentax K-5 still wins in the long exposure stakes mate.

I really like these. no.2 keeps drawing me back for another look. Beautiful tones. well done :)

Both lovely images, but the second one is breathtaking.

Cheers folks

Need to get back to the Fetherston Paul - been tad busy the last couple of months.....

Really like that second shot.

Great composition, colour & just my cup of tea.

Nice one!

The lonely tree is a great capture but been done a zillion times over so find hard to appreciate.
The second shot however takes my breath away :)

Cheers folks - the first shot I never really considered as a lone tree. Speaking as someone who has a tree fetish the tree doesn't have the character for that. I just liked the light and the heather.

I'm surprised at the reaction to the second as, although I quite like it, I find it more generic than the first.
