Let's hope this is the right section for this post!
Anyone have experience of changing the rubber bits on a D700?
I see that eBay sell them from about £20. Are they any good and how hard are they to fit?

I got mine from Nikon (I think, it was a while ago), and they're dead easy to fit. Just ensure you remove any sticky goo left on the camera after taking off the old rubbers.
 
The only fiddly bit is removing/replacing the screw from inside the battery compartment - make sure you take that out before trying to pull of the front grip!
 
Ahhh. I thought it was just a matter of pulling the old ones off. Good to know about the screw!
These ones from eBay are between £20-35. Really all I need are the rear right hand one - where your thumb goes and the grip with the red bit on.
Do nikon sell direct, or do u have to go via dealer?
 
Just an update, but Nikon uk were cheaper than eBay. So in future I'd just go straight to them. They just need to answer the phone a bit more!
