Thanks joe i will be using it for all kinds of photography from portraits to still life. I know i will struggle with full lenth shots but 3/4 and head shots should be fine also babies, young children should be fine. Its more of a retreat where i can go and relax and learn

Looks good, I have long term plans for a similar space at the bottom of my garden to escape too.
How big is your 'shed'? When I've looked at them before my concern has always been over the ceiling height as planning prevent you going as high as would be ideal.

Wow... Looks brilliant. Without wanting to sound cheeky, any chance you could let us in on dimensions, costs etc?

Great job. Every man should have one of these.

Nice and great cost. I'm thinking extension at 10x the cost!! Only issue I see is the height - but I could live with that! lol

You have me thinking!

Thanks Jim , I know the height is not ideal but now I have a place where I can get away from it all and get my lights modifier ect out and not worry about dismantling them and keep putting them away.

Nice one.
Job very well done mate.
So pleased it's all worked out for you.
It's surprising what you can shoot in a studio that size with a bit of thought and creativity.
As you know, it's the same size as mine and I had a group of 10 in for a group portrait.
Can't wait to see some shots.
Dean.

Thanks dean it took a lot of planning before i decided to do it, it took just over a month to complete and i am happy with it. Cant believe you managed a group of 10 wow do you have a photo of the shoot

Hi Peter.
Here is a quick proof grab.

Simple fix in PS.
I'll try to dig out the original unedited shot when I'm at home.
Dean.

Very nice Peter, well done. I'm just putting the finishing touches to my single garage conversion, and I'm worried bout my width - my size is 17ft x 9ft. The extra 3ft that you have would be nice. Hope you have a great time in your new studio!

How are you getting o with the studio, anything you would change or do differently. I am thinking of doing something similar, I have a concrete sectional garage to convert but again roof pitch is a slight issue. You plaster boarded yours, any issues with damp?. I was just thinking of ply boarding mine out with insulating behind as I was worried of damp through the winter.

Hi Nigel i have had no problems up to now, its going very well and loving it i just wish i had more time. But with it not being my full time job am limited to when i can shoot. The only thing i would change is the size as everyone likes bigger :)

Hi
I too have embarked on my home studio build... Exciting. I am converting my garage and I am currently boarding it out to be plastered. Just wanted some info on paint colours. Can you give me some insight in to the colours you choose as I see you have a dark ceiling and white walls. My studio will be narrow only 2.5m wide but it's what I am stuck with so I am worried about light contamination from reflection off walls?
