Workshop Which On-line Course?????

Good morning all, i am new to this forum so please be gentle with me!! My wife is very much into photography and would like to looking into taking an on-line course. There are a few available that we have been looking into, but i would like some advice before signing up. I wonder is anyone has experienced an on-line course before??

I understand a lot of people of or the opinion that you can learn yourself ect... but this is to give my wife something to focus on away from her day to day work. A course designed to carry on her interest and hopefully take her to the next level.

Any help / opinions would be gratefully received.

Possibly not what you're looking for but there's a fair bit of video tuition on Lynda.com. I've watched stuff by Ben Long, not specifically technical, but interesting. You can sign up for just a month if you want, works out to about £13 ish, so maybe worth a punt ?

I've done that online course - it's quite good, goes through all the basics and more. I think it's worthwhile for a beginner to get to grips with the fundamentals.

Thanks will look at that, the other one covers Photoshop which im interested in learning more about though as im really rubbish on it!

Think it does, it was me not looking at it properly.

Anyway ive just bought the offer and enrolled so will give feedback on here about it.

Hmmmm ive done the 1st assignment and had a look around, not sure how impressed i am as i expected there would be a big online community and so far only found one other person on there! will persevere though its not the end of the world and if anything it might help me get my camera off auto and get practising!

A bit late but it depends what she is interested in. If you haven't already done so, you could try looking for local photographers who do face-to-face-courses courses.
