Fuji - new discount offer - up to £600 off.

Very good deal, buy one lens £100 off, two £300 off, three £500 off ! ( two lens being best deal IMHO), not going to do my GAS any good ! ;-)

Good offer, bit p***ed off having just bought two lenses and only got the 200 quid, but that's life

Makes you wonder what the true rrp should be if Fuji can afford to offer high cash back offers regularly !? Though they are very good lenses :)

It looks a lot like Fuji are attempting to correct grey product market penetration on behalf of their UK sales channel, for recent and new adopters. The street price in HK for the 23mm for example is around the 800usd mark. At today's rates, that's just under £500 - but remember there is no VAT in HK. CPB shows the UK price to be around £700 now, but when you apply the discount (3 lenses dropped by £167 each), you get to £533 - which is lower than both Panamoz and Digital Rev.

The result being that the UK retailers win the business. Fuji shift lenses in bulk rather than single units, and the customer gets a real UK based warranty.

But you have to buy 3 lenses, instead of 1. Its better set up for system switchers.

Very true - kind of what I was alluding to with my bit about recent or new adopters. It certainly gets the GAS flowing! I bought an XT1 and 18-55 from the forums on here, and have been mightily impressed with it, so have been looking to expand my lens collection. This deal is fantastic for the likes of me.

That said, even for a one off purchase, the 23mm drops from £700 to £600 from a UK supplier. Panamoz and DR are at £580 and £569 respectively. For me, I'd rather even on a one off, pay a small amount extra for a UK sourced lens.

I'm just wondering if the £100 trade in bonus can be used as well as claiming the £100 cashback on the X-E2.

Waiting to hear from WEX about a trade in of a Canon 500D so I'll check with them. Nothing I can see in the T&C's of the cashback offer to preclude it, but I can't find the T&C's for the trade in offer.

From the FAQ https://fuji-offers.com/uk/en/pages/cashback/faqs

Q. Can I claim cashback on more than one product?
A. You can claim cashback on each of our promo offers - but only once per offer. For example we will accept a cashback claim for an X-T1, plus an X-E2 plus 3 lenses. But we will not accept a cashback claim for two of the same product model for example the X-T1 and the X-T1 kit.
Q. Do I need to submit 2 separate claim forms for my camera and my lens cashback?
A. No we need to receive all your claims on one form.

Yep, as I said the T7C's & the FAQ all refer to the cashback but not the trade in.

Just had a reply from WEX to say that my Canon 500D which is listed by Fuji as one of the cameras to trade in has been rejected.

This isn't helping me decide whether to get the 23mm! I don't really use the camera enough to justify that sort of expenditure and I've a wide selection of manual-focus lenses and adapters that I can use with my XP1 and I've got the 10-24mm which covers the focal length and it's hardly a pancake lens for low-profile street shooting .... but I really really want it!

Is the trade-in deal not just a discount on the camera price at the dealer? http://fuji-promo-tradein.co.uk/

Did WEX say whether they rejected it or if it was Fuji who rejected it? Seems to be maybe a shortage of clarity this early in the promotion.

If anyone is interested in collaborating to collectively buy three lenses to get maximum discount then message me :)

Would love to collaborate but would hate for something to go wrong with a claim. That could lead to some bothers.

I hope you manage to get someone to buy into the idea - good call I'd say. I would have b-b-b-b-butttt, I couldn't wait and went on a spending spree in Leeds this afternoon! I am now short a few pennies, but the happy owner of the 10-24, 23 and 56. I seem to have developed bad GAS after buying the X-T1.

Too late for me, as previously mentioned only just bought two new lenses

500D was on the Fuji accepted camera list for £100 trade-in, so not sure why it was rejected ! ?

I'm guesssing here that it is maybe a case of WEX not wanting the 500D for whatever reason, but that you might find one of the other dealers would be happy enough to take it as a trade-in? Companies will have a feel for what they can sell secondhand and maybe the 500D just doesn't fit the WEX profile and maybe they've had others that they can't sell.

There's even 5D mkiii on the Fuji eligible list, though can't imagine anyone would trade that in for £100 ! :)

Surely Fuji would pay the £100 trade-in value to the retailer, and any extra the retailer makes on the used sale is theres ?

The £100 bonus is supposed to be paid on top of the market value.

Not really bothered anyway as I'm unsure if I would go ahead. But I will await a response from wex as it will have a bearing on any future purchases I make.

Right got you :)

My faith in WEX has been restored, just had an email to explain that an "administration error" had occurred. And they will send another quote soon.

Knowing that if not for the Fuji promotion they would not take the camera suggests that the quote will be a low one, but that's fair enough.

Still not sure if the £100 cashback can be claimed if I have also received the trade-in bonus. I used the email address on the "contact us" page from Fuji promotions to ask. But received an email today to say that the address I used was for the cashback promotion and that their company didn't have anything to do with the trade-in. They suggested I phoned instead.

It all seems like too much hard work to try and spend my money.

The Jessops website clearly seems to say that there is a £100 cashback on the XT-1 body and then a trade-in bonus of £100, and I've linked that page below. The less clear part comes from my live online chat with a Jessops advisor who I believe has got things entirely wrong. I contacted them via a pop-up asking me if I wanted help as I didn't think that Jessops did trade-ins nowadays. Her reply was that they did, but this trade-in was purely down to Fuji rather than Jessops and they had no control over it. She subsequently said that she understood it to mean that the value of any listed camera traded in would be £100, but clearly that must be wrong as the list includes cameras such as the 5D mk 111.

You should have asked if you could trade in 5 x 5DMkIII's and get £500 off, just to find out her response

Now, now, Colin. She'll not have been properly trained and I think if we can all get confused by the various things we've seen on the offer, I can have a degree of sympathy for her. Doesn't help us, mind!

Wex got back to me today with a quote, just need to confirm that I can still claim the £100 cashback from Fuji on top.

Does anyone know how Fuji check your new lens to establish eligibility for the offer
