Hello All,

I've just started a college course and I'm restricted to using a iMac, but need to be able to use my PC when at home, is it possible to get something to allow me to switch between the to so I'm not stuck to editing etc in college ?

Cheers in advance :)

Sorry using a USB drive but happy to buy an external drive if required

Nothing, but when formatted at college can't recall the way it was done it won't allow my PC to send files to it

Not used a Mac before but sounds like you have formatted the disk to Mac system instead of standard NTFS or FAT

E-mail, Dropbox or similar might be a better way to work between two locations.

Cheers guys,

Found a software product on-line Macdrive on a 5 day trial at the mo, so hopefully I'm sorted.

Not really sure what you are asking. If it is just a format for your thumb drive use FAT or eFAT which are both recognised by MS & iOS. Dropbox or Onedrive etc should both work if the files aren't massive and you have good internet.
If it is actually the data file we need to know what prog you are using.

I did & didn't get any joy on the PC, Hence, Macdrive which worked faultlessly
