Because I'm really not. First time using them, and definitely won't again. This is my order;

2Poster 60 x 80 cm10.9921.98

The percent voucher was a code they had on facebook for free delivery. I needed to complete an order I had and my usual print and mount man is on holiday. Got the mounts from picturelizard - very happy with them, they are beautiful, but the images kept on getting resized on the website. So, I try CEWE - size everything absolute to fit in the mounts etc and uploaded my images.

Two stapled together tubes arrived and I make a start on the littler one, which is 1cm too large all around. Bit of a pain but I can work with it, trim it all back and tape to a carrier card, then mount and frame. Only then did I notice the other problem - that all 3 shots have been edited by them and all look massively oversharpened with some awful jaggies, which arn't on the original image (look at the X and the castrol logo in particular);

Print

100% from original

I then check the larger ones, 81x62cm so they are all warped, and won't fit the mounts properly. Again I checked the artwork submitted and its 60cm wide with a 48cm image to give me a 2cm margin inside the mount.

So I try and use the live chat support, which was "interesting" and very one sided with long delays and bad spelling. Here's the transcript;

KevinHi Caleb. What can I help you with today?

CalebHi, I ordered 3 prints from you people, however for some reason they are all incorrectly sized?

the 80x60 poster prints are all 81x62 so don't fit the frames or mounts they were supposed to

in addition it looks like you have done some more editing to my photos as one of them looks badly oversharpened with the jaggies - which isn't on the original (the file I sent to you)

KevinHi I am sorry to hear that your prints are the wrong size. You are welcome to return the order to us using the free postage label on your delivery note for inspection. Please ensure that you enclose a covering letter to explain why you are unhappy and remember to include your order number. If you do not have you delivery note, please send us an email and we can forward an electronic copy for you to print. Alternatively if you pay to send the item back via a standard delivery service (not courier) we will be able to reimburse you for this.

Calebcan you actually give me a reason why they are the wrong size?

KevinNo I can not give you a reason - Head Office wil need investigate for you

Calebwhat about replacements?

or better still what about actually talking in this live support session?

KevinAs per my previous message just simply return the incorrect products and Head Office will look into it for you

Caleband as per my previous question, what about replacements?

I have an order to fulfil and this doesn't help

KevinUnfortunately you wil have to take this issue up with Head Office when you send back the the incoorect prints

CalebI won't hold my breath as you people seem to struggle with how a ruler works. Good day to you sir.

So, whilst I wish I had checked all three first before I cut the small one down I didn't, so will be returning the other two for a refund and going somewhere else. I fully expect a refund for the 2 large ones and accept that mistakes can happen, but as for the re-edits and bad customer service? Please consider where you order from and use caution!

They do add excessive sharpening and colour balance. I had some portraits that came back excessively red. They offered to redo but I lost interest. The idea of just printing exactly what I sent was too much for them. I guess their normal market don't care.

I ordered a photobook a few weeks ago from them for a friend, same quality issues. Had they left the images untouched it would have been perfect. I wont be using them again.

It gets better, after acknowledging receiving my returns I checked my account today to find they have debited rather then refunded the £30ish whole order value..... words will be said tomorrow!
