What with all the rain of late,finding a creepy-crawly to shoot in the garden was nigh on impossible, but then I found the fresh dead bluebottle on a window sill and thought 'you'll do'. Advice appreciated.

Looks pretty decent. Nice exposure and detail. The challenge tho is getting that with a live specimen.

Nice pics but to me look like they could use a little more contrast.

But a very nice effort for a first try and definitely keep it up.

Thank you! I tried an MP-E for the first time, a bit like riding a unicycle, you have an idea how to get on it but when you do get on it you just fall off!

Good work Nigel, I wouldn't have guessed it was dead from the first one. Good call to shoot it against a natural background. Detail looks good, although would benefit from more contrast (as mentioned). Maybe angling your flash or ensuring the light isn't bouncing back into the lens would help here. Nice idea for the scale too
