Hi guys,

Does anyone live or know any good locations in the Herefordshire area with good focal points etc

I live in Leominster and i've been to Queenswood park on Dinmore Hill once so I am planning more trips there soon.

Hi Stuart, You're not too far from the Malvern Hills, what sort of thing are you looking for?

I used to live on the Glos/Hfd border and know the area around Ledbury well for example.
 
Hi Cartus, im into landscapes, so any interesting areas like woodlands, hills, rivers etc and places like castles that would be accesible at sunrise and sunsets... thanks for the response
 
I will have to check out Eastnor Castle and do a bit of a scouting trip to Malvern for some good locations :)
 
If you want any help then let me know - I live in Malvern so am on the hills regularly and often over at Eastnor for the deer.

Ragged Stone hill, one of the more southerly hills, is pretty good at sunset and only a 10 minute (steep!) climb from the car to the top. One of my favourite views but also one of the more popular is from the top of British Camp looking north towards Worcs beacon, again best in the evening I think.
 
Brought up just outside of Hereford :)
There's an interesting driving route if you take the A465 out of town (toward Wales!) and immediately after you pass the big Tesco, there's a roundabout, go straight on, then take the next road on the left. Goes up over Callow Hill, some interesting views to be had especially if the weather is dramatic.
Otherwise if you can travel a bit further - Gospel Pass? It's near Hay On Wye, and is properly dramatic...if you can get there between downpours. Every time I've made it up there we've needed an Ark within 10 minutes so never really got any shots. But on a moody (but dry) weather day it's spectacular up there.
