I'm just about to finally have a pop at making some product videos. It will be done in a small studio based around a fixed set that will be consistantly lit with permanent lighting that will never vary that much. I will be using a 600d that I just got secondhand on here especially for this project.
The plan is to see the product being shown in a pair of arms and hands (with no actual person in the shot) being manouvered to show it from various angles (think bar of chocholate size) with a voiceover describing how it was made and showing off various aspects. The camera point of view will be looking down the arms towards the hands and product, if that makes sense.

I got premiere 8 bundled with photoshop 8 a few years ago (which I have never used) so don't have to buy that, but I wonder if it is out of date, crap or even necessary for such a simple setup. I understand it is good for filing video and pictures in and easy way but know nothing about any of this as I never got on with photoshop and dumped it for DPP.

Would appreciate a better simple program recommendation if premiere 8 is over the top or old hat.

Cheers

Steve.
