That was a good outing..you ought to be allowed out more often..Lol.

There's something about the Chaffinch I really like..maybe the intense concentration which you've caught very well, really sharp.
 
I dunno what you have done to these Brian but you've pretty much killed them in PP, particularly the Chaffie looks unnatural. Trying to hard maybe and just need to ease of with the framing and processing a tad imo.
 
over sharpening, clarity slider, tends to increase the "blacks" quite quickly in my experience

Firstly i'm reporting you to the old lady , secondly , I think over sharpened and to much noise reduction on the BG Cheers Brian

New ruling , no playing with shots until next day , I aways see things different then
