Myself and my brother made a failed attempt at getting close to Red Deer in Glenveagh National Park in Donegal, Ireland, last year but didn't get at all close to them as they dispersed into the hills at daylight.
This year after research we decided to try Killarney National Park in Co Kerry but the downside is that it is a 280 mile drive. Each way. Left home at 4am to arrive there just before 8 as the sun was coming up and mist lifting. Struck it lucky straight away after receiving good info the night before. Spent the whole day visiting various locations and seeing loads of deer and got home for 11pm. All comments/ critique welcome. All shots with a D7000 and 150-500

No.s 1 and 3 for me.(y)

Beautiful light in the first five and so very different to the usual deer shots. They were well worth the effort I'd say.

Many thanks. I was quite pleased with conditions and was glad that we made the effort to get up early.
