I was in Spain in December and trying to make pictures which included the sun.

After one or two I looked at my LCD screen and was horrified to find my pictures showed a massive black smear from top middle to the bottom covering a majour part of the screen.

Panic mode ensued - looking through lots of pictures with all of them having the same fault.

I was in despair as I tried to work out what had happened - such thoughts were ; damaged camera or burnt out senser.

To get a better look I took off my polaroid specs and all was good - Yep stupid me.

What other 'stupid' errors have people made?

I've done that too. Same sunnies as well. I really like Polaroid, polarized sunnies.
 
I can only laugh :D :D ... Although I'm pretty sure I'd be cursing badly and panicking lol
 
Once did a whole days shooting with no card in the camera :(
 
I once did the polarised sunglasses panic with my smartphone. I thought the backlight must be broken.

My camera doesn't let me shoot without a card in. Although years ago I did wind past 36 exposures and realise... no film!

Biggest mistakes I ever made were to meet up with Fracster and u8myufo. Mugs:rolleyes:
