Coffee Time v2

A nice warm feel to the shot, but what's in the cup. Is it really coffee?
It's the only thing in the shot that doesn't appeal to me
 
Thats a LOT of beans Andy!! lol, I hope you cleaned up. Looks really good to me, I do agree about the coffee itself - I <know> its coffee, have drunk enough of the stuff, but maybe if you were able to do one of those template and a chocolate coating (in a heart shape or coffee bean shape)? Would look perfect. Hope it didnt go cold before you drunk it. :)
 
I'm assuming that's an espresso, rather than anything else... If so, the Crema on the cup is a little dark, and inconsistent in colour where you can see where the pour from the portafilter has entered the cup... other than that, it's a definite improvement on the last version...

(can't be that bad if I'm critiquing the barista skills rather than the photography ;) )

ETA: ah, confirmed it was an Espresso... thought so ;)
 
Great work Andy, definitely an improvement on your last image and I love the idea of covering the background with coffee beans. If you struggle a bit with making the coffee itself perfect, just fill the cup with coffee beans too ;)

Lots better than the first attempt , no sugar in mine :cool:

Being picky would it be better to replace the beans on the saucer with a nice silver spoon ?
