Long Tailed Tit

Nice capture, shame it's not a bird we see where I live :(

disagree with the above ... don't see anything pleasant or good in the shot

Any chance you can elaborate, I readily accept any constructive comments on where i have gone wrong so that i may try and improve, but the total disagreement comment above just is not helpful in trying to achieve better images.

The bg is not pleasant and most of the subject is OOF or blurred because of the shutter speed
The composition is not good - the subject is not well placed in the image and is too far to the left, central and a little too high in the frame
There are extraneous objects in the edge of the frame

all in all there is little to commend it, IMHO of course

Paul, I was not being critical - just giving my opinion on areas to consider

two simple areas - composition and the technical aspects of the subject

Hi Bill, sorry if my previous reply came across as funny or sarcastic that was'nt my intent, your post pointing out the faults with the image, is exactly the sort of critical comments i,m after when posting images and be able to learn from the errors.

The pose is a bit different but the background is distracting with the bright stems behind and to the right

Stan
