150-500 sigma Alterntive

HI,

I have a 5dmk3 running 24-105mm L. I also have a 150-500mm sigma that I ran with my previous camera. While the lens is lovely Its a bit heavy for my liking.

I am looking for something that has 300+mm but is lighter and physically smaller for around £550 (happy to buy in 2nd hand market and grey imports).

Any ideas?

The only light alternative is the Canon 100-400, though I doubt you will find one within your budget.

Not a great deal of difference in weight between the Sigma 120-400 and the 150-500

If 300mm will be long enough, there are plenty of 70-300 lenses to choose from. A LOT lighter than the Sigma ???-500mm lenses!
