1st attempt at motorsports

Today at Donnington Park for the Grande Passione.

Used my 350D with an old 80-200 4.5 lens borrowed from a mate. I know that there are lots of things wrong with these pictures (e.g. to fast a shutter speed, wrong ISO, noise, etc) but these are the first 10 I picked out of about 1100 shots I took throughout the day.

Be gentle.

First three were take at the end of the day, just t use up my last 1GB memory card. I actually think these were some of the best from the whole day.

4) Very noisy - the light was fading and I don't yet have the knowledge to counter that.

Wrong place to take these from - Most of the fence disappeared in the DOF, but you can still see it in the next three.

Like you say, your ISO is way too high and the shutter speed is too fast on some, but one pic your shutter is 1/80th and you've nailed it.

You might be able to sort out the noise on photoshop or lightroom.

Very good set of photo's considering some of the settings you've used.
