24-70mm f/2.8L II - also built like rubbish?

There plenty things for Nikon too tho.

I was not being serious- hence the smiley.
Though to be fair, I've never had a problem with any of my Nikon gear.
You never really hear about things working properly. More weight seems to be given to the very small percentage of things going wrong out of the millions of units produced.
 
Haven't had time to read the whole thread but I have sent my 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.8 to Canon in Sweden for calibration and the difference was vast. Not so much on the L lens as that was pretty good before but the 50mm and 85mm are completely different lens now. Sharp at wide open apertures and across all distances, something the 50mm was terrible at out of the box.
In my opinion send it to Canon and only Canon.
 
Lol, there seem to be fair bit of canon lovers. I wonder if I will get the same reception if I started a thread saying why is Nikon camera built like s*** :).

They are quite robust. That was one of the reasons why the MOD have been using them for over 30 years and supplying them to the armed forces.
