3,300hp and 36 cylinders....

And I always thought that Deltic engines were Delta 18 cylinders. turns out that I was right and wrong - the individual engines are 18 cylinder but each railway engine (I know that should be locomotive!) packs 2 of them so the loco is a 72 piston monster!
 
No mistaking their sound and on a good day, can hear it from miles away.

That Anglia Railways carriage doesn't half stick out like a sore thumb!ue
Would have looked miles better with a full rake blue and grey coaches!!!

Loved the sound of Deltics and enjoyed riding behind some of them before they got withdrawn. Was a sad sight seeing them lined up in Doncaster works awaiting the cutters torch...
