Nothing on the box tonight so I thought I would have a mess about with different lighting and lenses. I like 3 out of 47 shots I took.

Yes #1 for me too. #3 would have been better with a tad more DOF.

Just to be different - I really like the second but would prefer a slimmer crop. I could just see it on the shelves in a card shop.

I like the one with the black background.

1st one, nifty fifty f4 1/15 iso200, custom wb
2nd, nifty fifty again, f9 5secs ISO 100 custom wb, partial metering
3rd, sigma 70-300, 190mm f11 1sec ISO 100 custon wb, partial metering.

I used different coloured card for the background and two clip on spotlamps, one fixed to light the stem and the other handheld where I liked it. All shot in raw, converted using RSE and levels adjusted in PS CS.
