Captive 50/85mm Xmas Lights

Took a break from the Sony rx100 and played with the d800 again........quick couple of shots. Probably should have stopped down more with the colour one as the DOF is narrow!

and good ol' fashioned manual focussing with the lovely samyang 85mm f1.4 (no mean feat given the beverages drunk by this stage!!)

The first one looks good but it would have been better if you have stopped down a bit as the other eye looks out of focus.The B&W has worked better as she is looking straight ahead.

Of the two, I prefer the first one. The second just looks a bit creepy (sorry), but that could be the processing.

Look at the catchlights, the second is lit from below and that generally gives a creepy look.

I like both. She's obviously very happy which works well.
