No, the macro on the Nikon COOLPIX 5700 is not that good. I managed to get quite close in and then crop slightly. Hightlights are blown a fair bit which helps to enhance the fur detail.

Terrific. But I'd like to see a colour version. Cats are far more interesting in colour.
