Yes
I had my first outing to Brands Hatch with my new 30D plus battery grip, having gotten used to my 300D and 350d having battery grips when I first held the 30D I found to be a bit small and my fingers were very close together. With fitting the battery grip it gives you an inch or so more body to hold on to thus giving you more comfort and control over the camera with a long lens fitted to it. I also found the thumb wheel on the back of the camera so much better and easier to use than the directional arrows that are on the 300D/350D's. I spent more time playing around with the camera than taking photo's but have so say that if there's anyone out thinking about upgrading then take a long hard look at the 30D being that's it's bigger than both the 300D and the 350D and a touch heavier with the grip fitted you do get a much better feel of control and comfort, the top screen gives you all the info you need about speed, ISO, drive, mode and a mutitude of over info.
Any way here's a few from yesterday's meeting.

As always C&C's are most welcome, thank you for taking the time to look.

they are nice Davey, nearly went yesterday but when i got up i just couldnt be arsed, would have been on the inside of hairpin if i had gone...went to the Monstertrucks at the hop farm today though, so might have a shot or 2 fromthat later...providing the ginger afroboi infront of me has kept his blinking hair out the shots!

Nice set, pick for me is the second, great timing :)

Red escort doesn't quite look sharp anywhere tho

Nice shots. No.2 for me too.
Pitty about the armco in some of the other shots, but you can't really do much about it. It's much nicer to have a bit of grass as a background IMO, like the last 2 Caterhams.

Great set, love the first two but some great panning as well

Not much I can do about the armco, I'll ask JP if he can arrange to have it removed before my next vist

I think they're re-fencing around the outside of Druids as the fence has grown by some two or three feet and it's been moved back by about the same. I'm not sure why although I did hear some chaps talking, I think it's to stop photographers using step ladders but I could be wrong. So I took advantage of the rather large gap in the old and new fencing for some alturnative shots of the Druids Bend.
